Jury Service

Went for jury service for the first time in my life today. If you're American, over 18 and am a resident of whatever state you're in, you're bound to get called once a year. No pictures because this is LA and celebrities do get called in for jury service too and do not want to be harassed and this has become a court rule. I have no idea if this is only for CA or all other states are the same too.

How it works is you go to court at 7.45am and expect to be there until 4-5pm and not a second earlier. Throughout the day you will sit in the assembly room and wait for them to call for a panel every 30 minutes or so where you will be ushered to a courtroom and asked questions to see if you're fit to serve as a juror. If you pass, good luck cuz you'll need it for the next 7 days as you travel back and forth the court (which isn't near at all, took me 40 minutes by train, no way you want to be stuck in LA traffic during that hour of the day) listening to a case but if you're excused, woots you are free to go and won't be called until a year later.

OR!

You can end up extremely lucky and not get called into any courtrooms at all and just spend your entire day in the assembly/waiting room when they later find that they have met their quota for the day. WHICH WAS ME HECK YE-AH WOOHOO! But yes I still had to wait until 4pm before I could leave :C

Yes, it is one heck of a looooooooooong day.

Bring your own entertainment. They have a few computers (20 mins usage limit) and free wifi but facebook, twitter, lj and all the good stuff etc. are blocked so there goes your entertainment...

All I can say is thank technology for PSPs and DSes omg total life saver of the day as I can alternate between a million games, web surfing, listening to music or watching videos. Seriously, go invest in one if you haven't already.

Also, if you have a DS, take it out of your bag and put it the container provided at the scanning machine because apparently it is extremely suspicious looking on their screen and I was stopped and sternly told to step away from the bag like it will blow up the moment I touch it and to please state all items in it wteff.

Court is..... sadly NOTHING like these Ace Attorney games (supposedly based in LA for the NA version) which I am currently addicted to :C

Apparently, cute prosecutors and defense lawyers like Miles Edgeworth & Phoenix Wright do not exist :CC

I swear I would gladly attend court for as many days wished if it were Miles hurhur. I do not get why people favor Phoenix over Miles cuz yea Phoenix may be cute but hot damn Miles is GORGEOUSLY SEXY. He got his own game after beating Ema Skye (eww, who wants a game based on a teenage girl really) in the fan polls and is the 2nd most popular game after Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days :D

But back to topic, the average age of lawyers around there could very well be 48 :CCC

Since I didn't get to sit in a real courtroom (not like I want to anyway really), I didn't get to hear lawyers shout OBJECTION! which I will shamelessly admit was what a tiny part of me secretly wanted thanks to those AA games :3

And thus I content myself with playing said game then instead.

Highlight of the day: Stories told by court workers lols.

1. A guy once put his ex-wife's name down on the emergency contact list and under 'relationship' (eg: sister, wife...) were the words 'pretty rocky' hahahahaha and I thought these things happen only in movies rofl.

2. Two people once met in that very room for jury service, chatted and ended up coming back the next day to get married wteff. Very sad when you think about it leh! Not I say one. The guy in charge said that and that we were on no account to find our soulmates on his watch XD

3. Guy once wore a black t-shirt and on it were huge white lettering of the word 'GUILTY' and since then, shirts with inappropriate words are banned hahahaha people. Beach wear too which makes me wonder just what is wrong with the people that even this has to be stated.

Anyways, by the time it was over, I was so zombiefied I couldn't even think straight. For some reason, I couldn't sleep the night before, kept falling from one dream into another and so I was literally awake for more than 24 hours and functioning purely on endless cups of coffee the horror I will never do this again *shudders* So taking sleeping pills the next time.
 
That or imma start bringing pillows and blankets to court wteff.

What would make me happier however is A'hole getting pounded by a gang of Yakuza one day when he goes to Japan for his stupidass comment of 'Oh I thought you meant sound like Chinese cuz I don't want to sound like a Chinese' in this snotty racist tone the SOB. Stupid guy is either blind or dumb to not notice that 95% of the class is Chinese. Mostly dumb imo.

Don't say I never buy anything ok! I am now a 'true' fan ah wteff. My next goal is to buy the remaining 6 of Jay Chou's cds/dvds to complete my collection of his and I need $132 for that. I LOVE JAY! Its been years and I am still so happy with my Jay cd/dvd collection! Definitely one of my best purchases in life ♥

Went to some Jazz concert the other day with church friends. Was a little annoyed when all the girls kept saying how I was so dressed up with a hint of bad feeling beneath it like its my fault for making them look under dressed or something wteff when all I wore was a summer dress, kitten heels and minimal makeup.

Hello, dressed up means wearing 4 inch stilettos, bling blings, dramatic makeup and having curled hair ok! Plus I looked around me and everyone was dressed like me so wteff its you who are under dressed hor and not the other way round.

Hate it when people don't make an effort to look good and then blame those who does by calling them bimbos or making them feel bad for actually making an effort. So geram can?

Went to J-town later for Japanese curry and its official, I don't like Japanese curry. Completely not spicy even after asking for the hottest and drenching my chicken with hot oil. Kinokuniya was closed by the time we arrived too so I couldn't buy any Japanese magazines or those gorgeous FF posters hanging on the wall T___T

Speaking of FF, I found a ton of cute funny FF7 related meme vids on youtube the other day and wanted to blog about them but 2nd sis beat me to it. and I can totally relate to the poster. I don't exactly thank God for breast cancer cuz that is just plain mean but I do secretly love them for choosing pink as the theme color. Every time I walk through the breast cancer section at stores I cannot help but be delighted at the sheer amount of stuff in such a glorious shade of baby pink.

But I think my enthusiasm can be forgiven because I would be contributing to their foundation by buying their stuff no?

It's a school thing where everyone are encouraged to dress backwards on this day wth HOW COME THE SCHOOLS HERE ARE SO AWESOME? 2nd sis school had pajamas day where everyone came looking exactly like how they looked when they got out of bed that morning, nerd day and also silly ones like hush day where girls can't talk to guys and if they do they lose and have to give the guy their hush card and the guy with the most hush card wins wth this is a lot like sex come to think about it.

There are like tons of other weird days again which my 3 lousy sisters refuse to participate in any, tch party poopers the lot of them. If I were in high school I WOULD SO DRESS AS A PIRATE-TRESS (is that how you call female pirates?) AND TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WHACK ALL THE PEOPLE I DISLIKE WITH MY WOODEN LEG ARRRRR!!! >D

Then again, I'll probably end up in the ER for clawing my entire scalp off with my hook thanks to my bad habit of mindlessly raking my fingers through my hair every now and then.

(un)Happy Meal

Hello, I think this just sums up how I've been feeling for the past few days and days to come. A diet of liquid intakes like smoothies, yogurts, soups and very watery porridge is depressing. All the more when people around you are eating fried chicken, laksa and chicken rice. Yes, my mother decided to cook laksa at this very time where I can't eat seafood for at least a month. Something about it being detrimental to one's health after any kind of surgery, although how true is this I have no idea...

The only cheery thing is I get to sip coca-cola every now and then as prescribed by the doctor to combat nausea :D

Other than that, am looking like a poor swollen chipmunk still :C

I look so FAT now T____T

So I'm properly awake now from my 9 hours straight slumber after the surgery and I've just looked in the mirror and the feeling is akin that of the girl in 200 pounds beauty, only instead of seeing a prettier version of me, I find that I had magically gained 10 pounds in the face and look like the product of a human and chipmunk's one night stand.

Am also looking at the piece of paper I've scribbled on while I was in my post anesthetics daze to help remind myself what I felt during surgery and I think I've gone effing nuts.

One moment I was awake laughing and wondering if I'll ever fall asleep and the next thing you know I'm sucked into this secret laboratory like that of the Jetsons on MARS with huge glowing neon green pipes and I'm trying my best to escape from oral surgeons who are now half-aliens with massive tooth drills in hand laughing like demonic clowns. Oh and that I was also chasing after green bunnies. And suddenly Aiba from Arashi decided to join me in catching them too with him in his funny purple Cheshire cat outfit wth. Why Aiba wth?! Where's Massu? Stupid hallucination could at least give me Nino or MatsuJun too at any rate pffft.

Anyway, green bunny now leads me to McDonald's in the middle Alice's Wonderland and have I mention how friggin green my hallucination world is? And glowing too. As green glowing food makes lousy enticers I left and find myself back in said stupid lab PLAYING LASER TAG with people I cannot remember. But I think they were trying to kill me. Cuz I was desperately trying to find my way out of the never friggin ending tunnel.

Next you know, I'm awake and found that the world has suddenly gone mad and gave everyone a twin while I was asleep. Great, I now have two mothers. Twice the nagging now. Awesome. But God must not have been feeling well when he did his 'lets give the everybody a twin' thing cause now all inanimate objects have their own doubles too. And upon looking down, OMG WHY DO I NOW HAVE FOUR LEGS? AND 2 EXTRA ARMS TOO.

Oh wait, the oral surgeon and his twin is screaming in my ear asking me to 'WAKE UP. YOU MUSTN'T FALL BACK ASLEEP HANNAH' making me irritated cuz I'm just dazed and not deaf you know and swiped my hand viciously (I mean weakly and wildly inaccurately cuz I had no control over my limbs) at one of him only to discover that his 'twin' is only my double vision. Oh. OH YAY THAT MEANS I DO NOT HAVE TWO MOTHERS AFTER ALL HAHAHA.

Back at my apartment I discover that everyone is celebrating Valentine and I CANNOT EAT A SINGLE MORSEL OF FOOD OFFERED *screw the world* and went sulkily to bed where I promptly fell asleep and have only just woken up now. TO THE DELICIOUS AROMA OF FRIED CHICKEN.

THANKS A LOT DADDY FOR RUBBING IT IN MY FACE. You have never bought fried chicken since the begining of our stay here and on this very day where you know I can't eat, you go and buy a box of it. While still having the audacity to grin cheekily at me while I scream and threw a fit. (only the damn medicine is making my words sound all garbled and funny and my family is laughing at me now, oi stop laughing I am miffed okay and you're not supposed to laugh) OH-HO I SWEAR I'LL REMEMBER THIS DAY *is planning revenge*

So I am now fat, in pain and very very very hungry with nothing I can do about it. So how's your day huh? =C

Update: 2nd sis says the wound would take 3-4 days to heal. Meaning 4 DAYS WITHOUT FOOD. WHAT? WHY? HOW? *howls*

2nd update: I hate the idea of food now cuz I just ate a bowl of self-cooked tomato soup and felt extremely nauseated before heaving into the bathroom sink. And no, its not because my cooking is horrendous. I hate pain medication really T_____T

TOTALLY PRICELESS. I love Singaporean and Malaysian radios ♥ It's always so full of winning crack XD The 'you're also quite fat, that's why so many people I can still see you' line totally killed me seriously that was unexpected lol. Am grateful for being able to spend 15 years in Malaysia so I am able to understand hilarious shizz like this among other things. Would have never gotten the hilarity maybe if I were to grew up completely in the States.

Anyway, I've gotta run or I'll be late for my pilates class cuz I've just spent the whole of last night stuffing my face with bittersweet chocolates (generally, I dislike sweet stuff but bittersweet chocs are my guilty pleasure. So delicious!) and I can feel the fats just hanging off my frame D: So byebye and Happy Valentine y'all!

PS: Yours would be happier than mine at any rate because I have a date with the effing dentist for my wisdom teeth extraction (a lucky shot that he's here on a Sat so I can't miss it) and would be looking like a mutilated chipmunk who cannot even swallow milk without dribbling over herself after the surgery. Meaning no more bittersweet chocs, valentine cookies, yummy food or any plans for the matter. Am most miserable.

Why lying to your doctor is never a good idea

So the other day I went for my appointment at the dentist up in West Covina for my wisdom teeth extraction consultation as CA is like so lacking in oral surgeons they rotate their surgeons and I had missed his last visit to my city.

Thing was the lousy people at my dental clinic didn't tell me the oral surgeon up at West Covina was gonna do the actual surgery that day and I so ate a pop tart an hour before I left. In case you didn't know, you're not allow to eat or drink for at least 8 hours before any kind of surgery but thinking it was ONLY a pop tart plus the fact that I'M STILL RAVENOUS I kinda said 'no' when asked if I had eaten anything thinking that it's probably digested by then. Plus the fact that I refuse to wait until the next month for a new appointment wth cuz by then spring sem. would have begun and none of my mondays are free ('oh the surgeon only comes in 1 monday a month' *beams* FRIGGIN A. What kind of system is this?!)

And so I enter the surgery room where the nurse asked me once again if I had eaten anything and I was about to say no again but have no idea why it came out as 'yes' and immediately had her glaring at me. So I was like 'oh please, it's just a pop tart and it's probably gone by now. It's not like I'm having a body operation anyway' *glares back* before she stiffly told me 'NO POP TARTS' and how under anesthesia, if one were to throw up midway, would have no choice but to swallow it back down causing it to go into your lungs and clogging your airways. Oh and the chances of dying is 75%.

75% CHANCES OF DYING WHATTHEHECK OMG YOU'RE KIDDING ME!!!!

ADSALSDFKAHSDFA YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW GRATEFUL I AM FOR THAT SLIP OF THE TONGUE! OMG TO THINK I COULD HAVE BEEN DEAD NOW INSTEAD OF SITTING HERE BLOGGING.

And that my dear friends, is a good example of why lying is never good. Especially to your doctors. Unless you want to end up as the latest donation to the medical school body dissection practice lab.

PS: Am still mad at the cursed pop tart for ruining my appointment. 4 hours of waiting wasted.

Beverly Center

Went out with my Korean sister, So Eun (yeah yeah might as well be sisters since everyone thinks we are till I'm tired of repeating that not only am I not related but am from a completely different race) to Los Angeles for lunch. To be more precise, I'm living in Pasadena which is an upper class city where richer people (excluding me cuz I am poor *boo) live. It's part of L.A. county so technically to the world, I'm in L.A. but honestly you do not want to live in the real L.A. because its more like a ghetto with shady people. The seemingly glamorous L.A. you see on tv is every other place in L.A. county except L.A. lol.

Anyway, went to Little Tokyo which was.....

...damn disappointing =C

Where are all the Japanese people? So much for scouting hot bishies =C The only remotely interesting thing to see was Japanese magazines all around and go KYAAA LOOK NINO AND RYO IS ON THE COVER!!! I have a feeling the rest of NEWS might be inside too but the stupid magazine was wrapped so tightly I couldn't check. And that was like the only magazine in plastic wrap wth stupid JE don't tell me you even control magazines! Ngiau.

Ahem. But back to topic on hand, lunch:

What the beep the bowl is BIGGER than my face ok! Can feed a family of four including a pet dog omg I feel so wasteful for not being able to finish it but then again it wasn't that tasty seriously, the ones in M'sia tasted way better.

Honestly, it looked like a squid squirted ink all over some octopuses balls (literally).

Taste like it too.

Not that I've ever ate squid ink covered octopuses balls before but if I do, its probably disgusting like this.

Lousy takoyaki too like what the beep its deep fried instead of using the takoyaki machine and tasted like 5 days old egg tofu with chewing gum in the center. Ugh.


Forget about going to Little Tokyo because apparently all Japanese have moved to other areas and Little Tokyo is instead filled with more Koreans it should be converted into Little Korea imo. Much more fitting.

Went to Beverly Center to shop for my belated birthday present and like I said, stupid timeofthemonth decided to strike leaving me in a pissy bad mood cuz my head started to hurt and so does my legs after a while. Sometimes I think it really suck to be female. Did not help that everything in the mall is like probably made of gold what with the insane prices and yet people are still happily swiping their cards every second seriously where is the recession? Not in Beverly Hills apparently.

No pictures of the mall cuz I don't see the point as I'll be living here forever and who takes pics of your own mall? Wait, my friends in Kch do... Well, but I don't because its damn unclassy to snap pics of the mall like some suaku plus I am in a bad mood to begin with so go google it up or find some other touristy bloggers who've been to L.A. ok fine I shut up because I am sounding bitchier by the second.

In fact I shall stop here abruptly because all my initial wit is slowly sapping out of my cells and I'll probably end up sounding really really bitchy when I don't mean to so bye. Shall continue blogging tomorrow when I'm feeling better and less like the shark in JAWS itching to bite anyone and anything in sight.

After months of refusing to get my eyes checked up, I was forced to make an appointment yesterday and it was then I realized that I cannot see a lot of things =C Long gone is my 20-20 vision and now I am stuck with a lousy 50-100 degrees (or however you measure it I'm not sure) for both eyes respectively *gloom

Oh and it was so funny to see the doctors struggling during my eye tests as my eyes are so small (ish, shall do surgery asap once I have money) and they tried to pry it open wider but to no avail and have to resort to squinting hahahaha.

I look horrible in glasses okay! Well, initially I thought I didn't look half so bad in them when I was trying on the degree-less ones when asked to choose a frame. Quite pretty even. However, after the real lenses were put into it, I discover that I look utterly horrible T____T

2nd sis says it's because the lenses contract your eye size or something making you look like some dweeby geek T______T How can a fake pair of glasses and a real one make you look so different??? I don't understand....

Am not allowed to use contacts either =C Well, at least I don't have to wear them (glasses) all the time. Only when I need to.

Anyway, am being berated by my parents who blame my pink obsession as the cause for my bad eyesight wth. So now I'm forced to change everything to green cuz apparently, green is good for your eyes hmph.

So expect this theme to last until the Christmas season is over. Sigh.

P.S. 2nd sis says my banner is fugly T___T (wth this is my first time designing anything okay plus I'm the girl whose drawn dog looks like a cow okay) So I admit the green is a lil too neon though well, it sure didn't look that neon on my laptop. Should have tested it on other computers but I am too lazy to edit it now. Will revert back to pink after December anyway *shrugs*

Randomity

Is it only me who finds that the buns of burgers are always never enough? Like how it started out bigger than the patty between it but towards the end, I find myself left with a huge chunk of patty, cheese, bacon and lettuces with only a scrap of bun (even though I am so sure I eat an equal amount of buns and fillings for every bite) forcing me to scramble frantically around for tissues to wipe up the dripping ketchup and falling lettuces??? Making me look like some slob?

Shan't eat fast food on first dates and such from now onwards.

Unless someone comes up with some patty sticking buns. Or maybe just EVEN BIGGER buns. Or or or edible toothpicks where you can poke it all around through the burger so everything stays in place =D

Omg its the only stall with more than enough extra lengths where you can even afford to cut off pieces to make up to 20 shower caps. Not to mention that the water pressure in this particular stall is like helluva strong too till it feels like a shower of acupuncture needles instead of water. With space so huge it can fit a sumo wrestler!!! Not forgetting a chair to put your bath things too!

If this is not discrimination against able people, then I dunno what is.

Plus why do gyms have handicap facilities anyway??? Honestly, how are wheel-chair bound people supposed to run on treadmills? Or the bicycle machines? Or the stair-masters even. Ridiculous, really.

I was kidding when I said that you lied and its most probably MY cooking skills, or the lack of it, which resulted in it being a tad different =X

Besides it being a bit too salty (maybe I used the wrong soy sauce wth), it was delicious. Though you should consider putting a disclaimer stating that you used red coloring for the pictured chicken because I have no idea how it can turn red when all ingredients used are anything but red, which is like a primary color and cannot be obtained through mixing. This is so I won't feel like such a failure when it turns out to be nothing like the picture and so I can point out the disclaimer to people who criticize the appearance of my chicken and go 'neh see properly lah, I didn't use red coloring ok! People think of your health ok.'=P

Moral of the story is: Don't joke around for fun thinking that said person would never read it. Cuz you never know that they just might....

Thank you for the kind offer for tutorials but atm I do not have Skype and neither the kitchen as long as my mum is still with me. Kitchen cuz she refuse to let me tap into her happy cooking hour. Ok fine so some of you would be saying 'I don't see the difference?' but there is! I just um used to photoshop my eyes larger and fixed the droopy lids for all my past pics so um that explains why my eyes now look the same as my previously shopped eyes lol.

Now all I need is rhinoplasty to make my nose sharper/higher then I am contented. Ok just kidding. I'm already quite satisfied with my current nose and its only in pics does it look mishappen and I can always use photoshop for that anyway. I draw the line at surgeries that require insertion of plastic of any sorts. Hmm, I wonder if the Japan 'higher nose bridge' thingy works?

Dead Tired From Shopping

Went shopping with SE today and had tons of fun for once =DDD Shall write everything down like a diary and I don't care if it bores you cuz I am happy happy happy albeit a little sore in the feet with all that hours of walking around in heels =C

Am super happy also cuz she is like 5ft9 which is like an inch taller than me so I can wear high heels when I'm with her muahahaha tall friends are nice =D I swear I am sick of the world being short thus restricting me from wearing super gorgeous shoes because they all come in 5 inch heels damnit I is decidedly not happy. Totally unfair. *sulks*

Dropped by a Japanese restaurant for lunch and omg the food is heavenly! I'm sorry I didn't take any pics at all today cuz I just wanna enjoy myself for once without having to go 'must take pics for dead blog' wth am no superstar blogger so why should I care? Maybe next time. So we went a little overboard with the food and ended up with a huge bowl of sashimi salad and about 30 pieces of sushi.......

And so the bill ended up to like 52 bucks but she refused to let me pay a cent despite my insistent begging. Sigh. でも本当にありがとうございました! Ok wait, I think I should have typed that in Korean instead. 감사합니다~♪ Better lol. And oh oh! I finally ate edamame!!! It tastes like....beans. lol. You know black beans? Something like that just a little crunchier/crispier/harder however you call it. I hearts the Miso soup there too where you have to drink directly from the bowl hahaha and I was like frantically searching for the unavailable spoon. Ok yes I cannot help but sing Tegomass's 'Miso Soup' song in my head every time I drank it wth my fangirl tendencies is crossing over to my offline life.

Anyway moving on, Forever 21 is simply lovely! And is probably the only affordable store in the entire mall beside Target and JC Penny because every other shop we went in after that were branded ones and every item cost like minimum 70 which is damn expensive for me at least (regular clothes/shoes all cost like 20 and below) but omg the items in those stores are like really really gorgeous! And this is where I discover how different I am from her where she zooms into every of these shops and just buy anything that catches her eyes but strangely enough I do not feel a pang of jealousy or envy and it was fun to help her pick out clothes =)


And contrary to what people always think of rich people being snobs, it is in fact the very opposite ok. After telling her my budget for stuff, she actually drove me to various other places she'd never visited before just to find the perfect bag and shoes for me ok wth so touched till can cry and I dunno why she kept apologizing when she couldn't find what I want cuz that is so not her fault ok and she actually went digging through every sales rack to find the items that suit me and omg she is such a great help in telling me what matches what and stuff. I think she is really one of the nicest person I've ever met and I thank God for blessing me with such awesome friends throughout my life.

As we were relaxing in Starbucks after those endless hours of shopping, we talked about our lives and it turns out that her dad is a popular Korean actor and she came here alone to escape the craziness. It was fun to learn about the Korean people lives and to hear the horror stories of their endless high school study life where I cannot help but breathe a silent thank you that I wasn't born into Korea, Japan or Taiwan omg I think I cannot survive there.

Anyway, I had a smashing time today and she said she might bring me to Little Tokyo some other day (yay!) and hopefully we'll manage to enroll in the same Japanese classes next semester =) I would love to travel to Japan with her one day but I promised Ammy I'll go with her first and she would kill me if I were to break my promise wth. Silly Ammy, you would always be my 'twin' ok like how Nasha is my bff and it doesn't matter how many new friends I make, they'll never replace my old ones but would just be a newer addition in my life ☀

Oh hai, sorry I've not been updating much but frankly speaking nothing epic happened over the week for me to rant about and I'm sure you're sick to the core of Edward (I finished the Twilight saga yesterday!) and I don't think you care much for Tegomass recent flail-worthy otpness so that leaves me nothing to write about.


No disgruntled feelings either cuz I've ace a couple of papers and my English prof. loves me now because of that and I find it hard to hate her anymore like I did initially cuz I seriously do not know how to hate someone when they smile widely at you calling you sweetie and hun and stuff so byebye feelings of dread and dislike.


Plus things took an interesting change over the week and in the blink of an eye everything changes and life is simply lovely atm.

Rain

For the first time in 9 months since I came here, it finally rained ☂

Haha so funny to see the rain catch everyone by surprise as unlucky pedestrians rush towards the nearest shelter, college students once lazing around on the lawn now covering their heads with books as they rush into buildings, and to see my daddy flail miserably with the windshield wipers control as he keeps turning on the turn signals by mistake hahahaha.

You do not know how good it felt to realize that the pitter-patters actually belong to raindrops for once and not some air-conditioning unit or a huge passing truck. To feel the cool breeze that comes with it and the peace and tranquility in that one moment where the world becomes quieter and much softer in an instant.

Too bad it only lasted for 5 minutes.

But it was one heck of 5 glorious minutes that made my day =)

Went grocery shopping today ^^

I love my new sunnies! Ok so they are a bit lighter than intended sigh have to search for new ones when I'm free. It's like super see through once the light hits it thus spoiling the 'I have huge chio eyes' illusion I want to give off. Discovered that I only look good in this particular style. Stupid ok why can't I wear huge Paris Hilton type of sunnies without looking like an alien?! *grumbles*

Anyway, I know I always rant about how difficult it is for me to adjust to the different way they do things here but truth is I love America. I really really do ♥ Do you know how cheap things here are or not??? If you make an average 1000 a month I swear you can live 20 times better off compared to M'sia where you need 5000 and above to live decently. Provided you own a house and don't owe any debts of course.

Dog? What dog? It's the size of an effing lion can? 49 bucks only.

Plus they have like every single thing imaginable here. Sure, certain technologies of theirs like cellphones and stuff may suck but country advancement is not based on that. Srsly, I have no idea what is left for them to make anymore. And the affordable prices omg, yamaha pianos sold at 1000, cute small portable karaoke machines at 200 I think.

Omg build-your-own-gingerbread-house. I am so buying that for Christmas.

Plus the glorious food!!!! Hello? 12 bucks for a tin of Denmark biscuits the size of half a pail. Prettily wrapped Belgium chocolates at 11 bucks. Salmon at 9. Super huge (I really mean HUGE) King Crab Legs at 10 I think. 45 pieces of (different variety) sushis at 13. Various Christmassy goods at 15 bucks and less. Books at 20 and less. Lovely outfits at affordable prices! Ok you guys can start praying for me to get a job this winter season so I can airmail a ton of Christmas goodies to you. Srsly, I am itching to buy presents for friends and family back home. So pretty! And che-- affordable! And unique!

I am staying here forever....Ok maybe not forever, depends if I earn tons then I shall maybe move back to Malaysia so I can build a castle wth since you need like 3 million to buy a house here which is smaller than my current one back home.

The whole time I was shopping? I kept wishing all my friends and cousins were here with me. I kept thinking how much fun we could have fawning over all the food and super unique stuff here like tree houses, Christmas lawn ornaments, stupid Halloween decorations etc., poring all over the super fun and unique books like above LOL, greedily sample all goods at the numerous free sample stands and ramble about parties we can host in our free time since everything is too darn cheap for your own good here. It's like 100 times funner than the Spring and Boulevard which are nothing compared to here.

And so in the midst of my euphoria, I suddenly felt empty. GAH I WISH I CAN MOVE ALL MY CLOSE FRIENDS AND COUSINS HERE AT WILL =C

I love the Breast Cancer Foundation. Really I do ♥ So much PINK! Everything is pink ranging from kitchen utensils to vacuum cleaners and juicers and other electrical appliances omg I want a house of my own damnit so I can pinkify my way through it. They even have pink stationary goods and other various goods cuz this is just a small section ok srsly America is pink heaven yes I can stay here forever.

Oh shaddap I am not an ahlian wth *sulks* And why are my sunnies slanted to one side. My face slanted hia? Hmph. Also, I need a higher nose bridge. Sigh. Wonder if those Japanese high nose bridge machines thingy work....
