Black Friday '11

Sunday, December 4, 2011
Remember how I said a few posts back that one day that empty corner in my living room would soon house my TV and PS3?

It's a 32 inch. I missed the 40' deal coz I chose thanksgiving dinner over it hurhur.

Another thing to cross off my list.

My housemates are honestly very lucky to live with me. My year off from school and working life gives them a home their friends envy. Rest assure that decorative stuff like pictures are going up on the walls next year.

A New Way of Reading

Thursday, May 5, 2011
Guess what I got this time!!!

Nope, its not a planner nor notebook but instead....

Jeng jeng jeng jeng...

A KINDLE :D

Yes ladies and gentlemen, I have succumbed to the preposterous idea of ebook reading *averts eyes*

Ok ok so being the elitist bookworm I am, I have always secretly scorned the idea of ebooks, brushing it off as a cheap gimmick which can never ever compare with the weight and feel of an actual book in one's hands. Tangible pages where you can actually flip back and forth to your heart's desire to reread that one beautiful sentence or find that elusive scene located way back in the beginning that is currently being referenced by the protagonist and which you do not seem to remember reading and are now itching to find it. Also, why pay the same price for a bunch of electronic codes?

Thanks to the awesome libraries in the US, finding books to read wasn't hard and so I continued to scoff at ebooks. Until I was shipped off to uni where the only library books available are horribly soporific academic ones T.T

Then my suitemate got herself a Kindle and I finally witness firsthand just how simply amazing it is.

Yes I am a huge Agatha Christie fan :3

SRSLY. So that is what E-Ink is!!! Its like friggin ink on paper ok and that picture doesn't do it justice. Its not those typical LCD backlit screens on psp and ipads and the likes but like actual typed paper however you call it. Since its not backlit, there is no strain on the eyes and best of all: it is unaffected by the glares of the sun. Like an actual book! So I can read comfortably anywhere and everywhere!

Except sadly, in the dark D:

But nvm, nothing a booklight can't fix.

Its really light, its thin, it has an inbuilt mp3 player, a text-to-speech thingy something like audiobook, dictionary, adjustable fontsizes, line spacing whatever, can read manga and has a web browser which is slower compared to laptops etc. but fast enough to check emails or facebook or twitter or read fanfic etc. The downside of the Kindle is its all in black and white and does't support flash but really, its meant for reading so I don't care.

The only gripe I have of the browser is that I have to zoom in on certain pages for it to be legible which means I have to painstakingly scroll left and right by pressing alt+J as it is not touchscreen >C

See how you have to scroll right. And this is a more acceptable site already. There are worst.

Some sites can be remedied by changing it to landscape mode so I needn't scroll left/right but then the font sizes are less than optimal and thus I have no choice but to zoom and so I'm back to square one, having to scroll left/right *annoyed* Both the PSP and iPod Touch can 'fit to screen' all its webpages so why can't the Kindle too?! There is a feature called 'article mode' which tries to do that but it only works for selective sites which coincidentally aren't the sites I care for. I demand a hack for it ok!

Anyways, buying books is easy as your Kindle is linked to your Amazon account which I tried out yesterday to download free books heh. Alternatively, you can also upload whatever books of your own that you find from anywhere onto the Kindle by converting them into Kindle formats using calibre hurhur.

The Kindle comes in 3 different models: Wifi, Wifi+3G and DX (simply a larger version like the DSi XL). The 3G model is slightly more expensive than the Wifi only model internet access is free to use anywhere and anytime you like. No monthly 3G fees of the sort :D

Jailbreaking the Kindle doesn't do much except letting you set your own screensavers -which you can see I have immediately abused with the onslaught of final fantasy characters, never mind the fact that they have nothing to do with books whatsoever, they are pretty to look at ♥- and others which I didn't bother to learn because I find them of no use.

All in all, the Kindle is an awesome ebook reader and one of my best purchases ever! All the books in the world at your fingertips! I spent my past weeks just blazing through books after books. There are many other ebook readers out there too like the Nook but I prefer the Kindle best. Feel free to ask me any questions about the Kindle if you like. Anyways, if you are an avid reader like me, you might want to look into getting an ebook reader for yourself :D

Srsly, e-ink. Best invention ever.

*ok so apparently, Amazon does not ship the Kindle outside of the US atm and in order to buy books, you need to have a US residential address although you could probably just googlemap a random US Pizza Hut or something but just a heads up to look further into this matter if you're from overseas.

DSi vs. PSP Go

Monday, October 11, 2010
Apparently I still couldn't really decide between a DSi and a PSP even after finally deciding on the PSP Go  in January so I got myself a DSi over summer haha.

This is not to say that the PSP is lacking in any way at all okay because if I had to really choose between one, it would be the PSP still :3

So I got the white one to be all matchy matchy with my white psp ♥ Also, because the pink one was a downright ugly flamingo-barbie hybrid :\ I got my DSi off eBay which was loads cheaper than in stores or Amazon woots! Its genuine too okay and not some China rip-off. Btw, the DSi has two screens where one is a touch-screen (bottom).

So anyways, imo everyone should own a handheld gaming device for it makes such an awesome time killer in between long lines, the 15 minutes before class, waiting for the bus to arrive, your turn at the clinic or during jury duty etc. I personally prefer them over the iPod Touch for with these you can play games, read books, watch movies, surf the web, listen to music etc. and I know the Touch does all those too okay but the games it has can never amount to what the DSi or PSP has to offer. It is not a legit gaming console and thus cannot be compared.

My only gripe is that you can't access youtube or any other flash sites on these two devices so there, 1 point for the iPod Touch hmph.

Before I start comparing both the DSi and PSP, let me start by telling you the important differences between the DSlite (predecessor) and the DSi:

- DSi is way lighter than the DSlite which weighs a ton imo.

- It has a camera and all pictures you take can be displayed on the top screen as wallpapers. However, you cannot copy pics into it but only from it which irritates me because I cannot use this cute dinosaur wallpaper. Pictures can be stored internally or in an SD card. I personally have no use for the camera for I already have a digicam but if you are a camwhore like my sis you can use it for selca and decorate it like a purikura *shrugs

- DSi can download and play downloadable games from the DSi Shop. Kind of like PSN (playstation network) for the PSP.

- The DSi has a music player, Flipnotes (some animation drawing program) and whatever you can buy off the shop.

- DSlite is way cheaper. Duh.

- And also has a glossy finish and not stupid matte like the DSi ugh how I HATE the matte finish. Attracts dirt like crazy and I find myself having to wipe it a million times a day (for I am ocd) and it looks like it'll be more prone to scratches. So I gave up and bought a DSi decal off eBay the other day...

Conclusion: The DSi has tons more features and a menu system similar to the PSP whereas the DSlite has nothing but a game folder when you switch it on. Mad boring. But if you're using a 'flash card' then I guess it doesn't matter which you get for homebrew will settle everything ;D You will need a flash card if you want to read books or watch movies but don't ask me how cuz I am too lazy to figure it out and just use my PSP for videos and Blackberry for books :P I never read eBooks anyway cuz I dislike eBooks.

So back to the real question: DSi or PSP?!

GET BOTH :D

Ok fine. So say you can only choose one, then let me tell you what I like and dislike about each and you make your decision later.

As you can see, the PSP Go is way more compact and cuter and sexier looking than the DSi :D It also has a pearly glossy finish ♥!!! But this applies only to the Go and for the older PSPs, its larger and not as cute and thus I have no interest in it.

So what are the differences that matters? From a girl's pov at least.

The DSi is actually better for those 15-30 minutes wait times where you want a mindless game to pick up, play and be able to put down the minute you have to go without going "DRATS AND I ALMOST KILLED THE MONSTER I HAVE BEEN BATTLING FOR THE PAST 10 MINUTES ARGH IF ONLY I HAD ONE MORE MINUTE!!!!!" and spend your next 30 minutes simmering in annoyance and strategizing your next move for the next spare moment you have, effectively missing whatever your professor had said. Or worse, miss your bus because you were too engrossed in the game. True story T____T

There are puzzle games like the Layton series, Sudoku, or really mindless but fun games like Cooking Mama (which kinda stop being fun after burning your soup 10 times in a row and turns into a personal vengeance to get a perfect gold medal as you start screaming at the screen in frustration but I digress), Diner Dash, Bejeweled, Pokemon, Nintendogs (I CAN HAS KONKON NAO!) or racing games like Mario Kart that you can pause, save or quit anytime without feeling any pangs of 'nooooo! al-most the-re...' game pain.

The PSP on the other hand is a more intense gaming device which requires your undivided attention if you want to win. Its really like a PS in portable form. Its for those long plane/car/train rides where carrying a TV is impossible. You get awesome graphics and sound and gameplay ♥

Like God of War, Daxter, Final Fantasy etc. These games make it hard to stop once you started so a 10 minute time filler is out of the question for you would either go 'meh, I can do *insert whatever chore you're supposed to do here* later' or feel all disgruntled and dissatisfied as you grumpily stuff your PSP into your bag to do said chore. Oh! And your favorite pretty boys or sexy girls look a heck lot better on the PSP too :D

HOWEVER....

You can still have both your cake and eat it too, whatever that phrase means. For you can also have PSP-like games for the DS and vice-versa :D If you love some long story action games every now and then, there is some for the DS too like Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days and Final Fantasy 3 and 4.

The only difference is the crappy graphics :\

Left: KH: 358/2 Days.  Right: KH: Birth by Sleep

Also, if you want to play mindless games on the PSP, you can now with PSP-minis like Stand O' Food, Mahjongg Artifacts, Monsters Stole My Princess, Coconut Dodge etc. Besides that, there are other full games like Burnout Legends (racing) and DJ Max Fever (rhythm) that you can pause, save and quit anytime too without feeling any sense of 'loss'.

The only difference is I don't really feel any sense of accomplishment compared to DS games where like Layton, if you solve a puzzle you advance further or have gold medals for Cooking Mama. Yeah yeah I know you get medals or unlock items for Burnout Legends and stuff but it just doesn't really feel like a 'game' but literally a time-filler if you get my drift.

Gaming aspects aside, both devices has a web browser and a music player but only the PSP has extra features like a video player, radio station and a comic book reader which is really wonderful if only you could put your fav. manga in it for I don't care for American comics (idk if its possible and I just haven't tried). The DSi has a built in camera as mentioned but who cares. If you really want a camera for the PSP, you can buy the extension. But honestly, get a digicam.

Conclusion: If you prefer shorter or maybe more on the feminine side of games, don't care for graphics and would most likely only pick it up during wait times, get the DS. If you like longer more action packed games and want high res graphics so you can ogle your fav. pretty boy heroes (DISSIDIA♥!), travel a lot and would pick it up whenever you are bored, get the PSP.

BUT WAIT...

Both of these models would soon be replaced with the new Nintendo 3DS and the supposed PSP2. Whether you choose to wait for them to drop is your choice. Also, should you decide on a PSP, there are major differences in the PSP 3000 (and older) and the PSP Go which you should check out in my post here. I am still angry that I cannot play Birth by Sleep on the Go so you might want to reconsider your decision.

Anyways, there you have it. A breakdown on both devices that hopefully makes it easier for you to choose one. Chances also are that if you're a girl, you'll most likely like the DS. Although I still prefer the PSP because the games are more awesome. I initially bought the DSi solely for KH: 358/2 Days which was mad disappointing (everyone was so pixelated that oogling them was impossible) that I gave up halfway and regretted buying one :C

Buuuut.....

...then I stumbled upon the Phoenix Wright series and I honestly swear that it is totally justifiable to get a DS simply to play with this game d(^.^)b BEST GAME EVER. PERIOD. I am putting AAI on hold because I cannot bear to finish it and have nothing to look forward to whenever I switch on my DS lols. I am hopelessly infatuated with Phoenix and positively squealed in joy after hearing that another game is in the works X3

But yeah. If only stupid Sony would put their entire library collection up on psn, I would totally brainwash you all into getting the PSP Go. Till then, have fun choosing.

He Qi Crystal Designs

Friday, March 12, 2010
So I've been meaning to blog about this for a while now...

Like I said before, finding cute earrings in stores is like finding a chalk in a haystack. Not improbable but damn hard to find it still. So this is where blogshops come in :D And whenever I find an outstanding one, I will share because I am nice just like that lol.

So one such 'store' where you find some of the most beautiful and affordable handmade earrings is none other than He Qi Crystal Designs (formerly known as HeHe Productions) owned by Lisa. Seriously, her earrings are mad lovely I would buy them all if I could ♥

I first knew of her store through Jen's blog (I get 90% of my beauty information from there srsly she has only the best recommendations) and was lusting after the super gorgeous mother of pearl dove earrings she bought but they were all sold out by the time I wanted to buy one so boohoo I bought another kind instead which I was eying to go with my green outfits and coincidentally it was on sale!

Together with the earrings, Lisa gave me some beauty samples (and sweets I think which I ate immediately) too :)

I forgot what the earrings are called but its this pretty deep rich emerald green which my subpar camera simply cannot capture despite a slew of shots :C The first pic is a more accurate color than the second.

Then one day while I was browsing her store as per usual, I saw that she had those lustrous mother of pearl dove earrings back in stock again and thus purchased it immediately cuz no way these babies are gonna slip through my fingers again ok!

Pic to show why its just so amazing I just had to have it:

No flash

Are they alkdjfhdakslfha pretty or what!!!! *________* I have never seen prettier earrings srsly this is like my absolute favorite out of my entire earring collection :3

With flash

Almost 7cm long! Totally visible even for those of us with long hair!!!

Super loves! Yes, I finally went and got myself a 2nd piercing a month ago as you can see muahahaha I am still deciding if I should go for a third or a cartilage piercing? hmm. Also, why do I look very un-oriental like here :C

A close up so you can fully appreciate the gorgeousness of it all ♥♥♥

Random webcam pics where I was trying to show the earrings before I gave up and used a digicam instead. Although I love webcam more cuz its much easier to control (can see before you snap and I suck at self shots) only the quality is horrible -_-

Am totally loving the earrings ♥

I think she is gonna have more of the mother of pearl dove earrings back in stock again soon so do keep an eye on her store and be sure to check out her blog and twitter for updates and discounts :)

PSP Go

Tuesday, January 19, 2010
I now have a new excuse for not blogging besides plain old laziness. If you've been following me on Twitter then you would have known that last Friday, daddy had gotten me a new toy:

♥ THE SONY PSP GO ♥

This is my first psp and also my first official foray into the gaming world ♥ Ok, so I've played tons of computer games in the past and video games but none of those count imo because those are not PS, PSP, Xbox and the likes.

Maybe you can't tell but I LOVE GAMES OK! I love a lot of things actually. Combination of things and interests that people think don't co-relate to each other but I love them all anyway. I just recently realized they all share one common trait though: expensive wteff.

Anyway, I'd never owned the PS simply because I kept turning down daddy's offer to buy one in the past. Mainly because no one introduced me to Final Fantasy *huffs at friends* and so I didn't know what I was missing out and thought why not buy cheaper mini tape video games in that case. And by the time I heard of it, I didn't dare ask daddy for one because I assumed he would probably ask me to 'go save your own money and buy it yourself' :C Which I totally went and got a job for but in the end couldn't bear to plonk down the hard earned RM700 just like that lol.

Then the other day I was spazzing over the DSi and somehow it ended with daddy going 'why didn't you ask me to buy one for you last time then? I didn't know you love such things' and I felt like stabbing myself there and then. But anyway, somehow he said he'll buy me a DS if I can convince him of its awesomeness (which I did, sort of) but then halfway through, my indecisive and fickle self kicked in and I was torn between the DSi (can play mindless games like cooking mama!) and the PSP (ZACK ZACK ZACK CHUBBY CLOUD RENO ASLDKASLDA FINAL FANTASY *Q*) and as if it wasn't bad enough, Sony had to come out with the Go and so I had to later decide between a PSP 3000 and a PSP Go. And then later between the black and white wthwthwth.

Two months of endless daily research and hounding of psp owners later, I finally decided on the Go.

Ok, I lied.

Daddy decided it for me. I couldn't make up my mind at all :x But he was all 'I refuse to buy an old model!' and so the PSP Go it was.

All those research and questions.....useless. Ya my friends all hate me now :C

But I was glad I chose the Go!!! Bought it at Amazon for $229 free shipping but someone stole the first shipment wth may his balls drop off and so I had to wait another 2 weeks for the replacement to arrive. Anyway, as you can see, IT'S SO CHIO RIGHT?! ♥ You can't see it here but its a glittery pearly white! So small again! [128 x 16.5 x 69 mm (width x height x depth)] Like a cellphone! No need to deal with UMDs too (ok unless you hack yours then sama sama also only I can expand my memory up to 36GB) as its all digital downloads and omg do they have everything you want on it be it games, movies, comics, manga, anime etc. IF you had the money lah of course. Which I don't :C

I love the internet too can browse my email, twitter, lj, google reader, fanfic etc. and my only gripe is WHY NO YOUTUBE/FLASH VIDEOS?!?!! I want to watch anime online mkay?! *grumbles*

Anyways, the difference between the Go and other older PSP models is that the Go relies solely on digital downloads whereas the rest can do both digital and discs. Normally, one might say a multitasking equipment is best but have you seen the huge size difference?! No matter how you see it, the Go is sleeker and way more portable (no need for carrying multiple discs around). Plus going digital is the future imo. Just send me all the game booklets in pdf format and I'd be happy.

However, be aware that Sony has yet to put up their entire library on psn and this is what pisses me off. IF they had only done that maybe make downloading times faster (but I can ignore that) then the Go would be the best thing ever so far. Not being able to play Crisis Core, which was the sole reason I really wanted a psp, irritates me no end but that is not the worst. The worst is not being able to play Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep either. Apparently, not all newly released games are required to be available on psn (like I was misled to believe) so you have a possibility of being screwed over. Prices are as expensive as physical copies too which I don't mind if they would kindly send me a poster or make those game booklets available in pdf or whatever format that can be read on the psp. But no. So decide wisely.

But on to happier things:

So I bought FF: Dissidia and omg I'm so in love with Tidus now *__* His cheery attitude is just ♥ Sorry Amanda I called him an uncouth ah beng last time cuz I didn't know better T__T

All in all, I still love my PSP Go a lot and wouldn't trade it in for a 3000 even if it means not being able to play two of my fav. games because.....its just really so much more portable. Although there are times I want to buy a 1000 and hack and pirate the crap out of it out of spite towards Sony. But whatever...

So there you have it, my new excuse to not blog lols. But so worth it no? :D

PS: Kindly refrain from 'PSP 3000 is so much better, PSP Go sucks' comments because no. No it doesn't. Its PSN that suck. Everyone who has played with mine agrees on how much they love it and if it weren't for the whole PSN fiasco, would have traded up for the Go too.

PPS: Bought a DSi [on July 2010] which you can read about here (^.^)

ekiLove Earrings and Giveaway

Tuesday, December 1, 2009
I don't know what it is with the US for not liking super cute stuff cuz I swear I cannot find a single jewelry or shoes I like even until today. Everything is boring looking seriously. Thus, I end up shopping online for everything besides clothes cuz 1) clothes are tricky things which require actual fittings to know if it suits you and 2) everything here are generally made for taller people YAY!

So as I was saying, online shopping has since become my favorite one stop place for everything else (read: asian style stuff ♥) and today I shall talk about:

ekiLove - my latest obsession where I keep clicking on that site everyday to see if she has something new LOL.

ekiLove is run by the gorgeous Erika herself and here she sells stuff handmade with love such as makeup pouches, hair accessories, earrings, cell phone straps etc.

Eki modeling her own Angel Earrings.

One thing you can be sure of her creations is that EVERYTHING IS MAD PRETTY/CHIO/KAWAII TO THE MAX :3

Out of a number of jewelry sites I've seen, hers is my favorite ♥ Anyway, I found her through my beauty idol, makeup guru Jen at frmheadtotoe where she wore ekiLove earrings for her tutorial vid and it was so sparkly I fell in love with it on the spot and immediately went to place an order because I super scared her insane amount of followers would beat me to it wteff.

Ok ok I shut up now and show pics!

Shipping was mad fast! Arrived in two days! AND ASLDKJASLDKJA WHY SO PRETTY *__*

I am all for 'inside matters the most' but you know, having a pretty outside wouldn't hurt either and THIS IS WHY I LOVE EKILOVE because Eki really pays attention to the packaging :D Everything was taped with pretty 3D stickers which are now stuck onto my pretty pink file for class :D :D :D

The pink tissue wrapped packages are my earrings and as you can see, she threw in extra goodies. KOPIKO OK CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! Where did she get it from omg a Malaysian product ok! My grandpa (may his soul rest in peace) always buy me packets of that when I was a kid *teary eye. I might be the only person who is more ecstatic at kopiko candies instead of Hershey's lol. And since we're on this topic, 'kopi' means 'coffee' in Malay so there, now you've learned a new foreign word and needn't thirst to death when you get lost in Malaysia cuz you can now order coffee wteff.

No idea what the 'ko' means ok now shoo. But I know it means 'kid' in Japanese though so maybe its a mixture of both and means Coffee Kid wteff.

I ordered both the LoveLock and Angel Wings earrings :3 Both are $15 each only!

Ok I have stupid story to tell. Ahem. I actually ordered the wrong style for the left ear wteff. Cuz in my haste and excitement to order, I misread her fancy font C as D haiyah so much for spending like AN HOUR peering closely at Jen's video and Eki's pics to make sure I get the EXACT pair and even quadruple check that I had the right ones (stuck fingers on screen while I made the order wteff) only to still be WRONG -.-

But nothing a pair of pliers and whispered prayers that I won't screw it up again can't do :D

Yalar I fixed it myself *proud

On to crappy pics of me modeling these gorgeous earrings and not doing them the slightest bit justice at all cuz I have crappy cam, crappy lighting and am not so pretty like others sorry hor.

Right side. Yes I am doing it side by side cuz try as hard as I can I cannot get both earrings in the pic face too big ah must be fml.

Left side. How come the quality becomes blurrier than the one in my comp???

Wanted to snap pics of the Angel Wings too but kam suay next day skin broke out like mad and am still looking like the cryptkeeper now T___T

But take my word for it that both are simply gorgeous! Many have complimented me for it already and a girl told me I'm stylish ok so happy what are you waiting for go buy one here at ekilove.com before it sells out or something as its won to do. Also, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to email her cuz she replies fast and is very helpful.

By the way, Eki is having TWO giveaways. One at her blog here and another at her shop here for all her lovely followers and have you seen the prize JILL STUART ok prettiest makeup I've ever seen and her own creations too plus lots more! Lovely girl is lovely and I think she treats us all too well :3

Ok I shall stop here now because omg super long post ah later you all die of boredom.

Because I know you people are too lazy to scroll up -__-

Heartbreaker Vol. 1

Thursday, September 3, 2009
Its here! It's here! My G-Dragon cd is finally here!!! :DDD

For a fleeting moment I was dreading that the Koreans in my apartment might have stolen it while I was in Vegas cuz the shipping time took way longer than expected. Isn't the packaging just amazing?! I am so lucky to have fallen for the one Kpop Ent. company that doesn't scrimp when it comes to album packaging ♥

Back view. Its says G-Dragon First Solo Album Heartbreaker within the apple.

If one were to nitpick, I guess you can say that I was slightly disappointed that the cd case is made of somewhat flimsy plastic instead of tin/metal like I expected it to be. But who cares cuz when I first ordered it, I expected a plain old normal casing and not a 3D face mold for a cover! I have GD's facemold!

Lousy YesAsia took away the poster to sell it at a higher price the bladibarskets (ha! new Manglish term I learned recently!) so I don't have it :C I LOVE LOVE LOVE the cover insert! It's all thick and shiny and full of delicious GD pictures :d

I guess this is the part where I do a review on each song but guess what? I'm too lazy. My favorites are Korean Dream (ft. TAEYANG!!!! Loves!), Heartbreaker, A Boy and Breathe. They are all upbeat, unique and quite similar to Big Bang kind of stuff imo. Hello ft. Dara (2NE1) is pretty catchy too :)

Butterfly on the other hand does not sound very Korean or even Asian at all and people are saying that he 'sampled' one of Oasis song for it. Now I don't know who Oasis is but seriously, OASIS??? Doesn't that just sound super boring or what? Which the song is imo. Its not that bad however if you listen to it in the dead of the night when you're lying in bed reading a book I guess. Actually, doesn't the chorus sound like the perfect song for a Nescafe commercial where its raining and a pretty office lady is standing outside on the company's building huge marble stairs, looking glumly at the sky before opening her umbrella and proceeds to walk home as she braces the rain and sprays of water from passing cars and when she finally makes it home exhausted, her fiance is waiting for her with hot mugs of Nescafe coffee which they later sip on the couch while smiling lovingly at each other as the Nescafe logo flashes onscreen with some cheesy heartwarming line like Home is Where the Heart is or some sort. Campbell mushroom soup also can!

Gossip Man annoys me terribly. It sounds incredibly whiny and I absolutely hate the chorus part. Its draggy and downright irritating. The Leaders seem to be everyone's favorite except mine. It sounds way too hip-hop/crunk whatever for my taste and doesn't the beginning sound like some intro for a super old video-game? Preferably one where you have to fight dragons in the dead of the night to get to some princess locked away in some creepy tower with an Arabian genie somewhere. Anyway, point is I don't like the beat much. It's just so-so.

She's Gone....nothing seem to come to mind so I'm guessing its pretty forgettable and just some filler stuff. 1 Year Station is lovely though. Its an upbeat ballad and makes a perfect ending to the album.

Obviously, I do not understand a word of Korean so its useless to berate me on my opinions by telling me that the lyrics to a certain song is simply amazing and therefore so is the song. I don't care. He can be singing about sparkly rainbows or flying turds and I would still say I love the song if the beat sounded nice. Sure, there are translations but it means nothing to me if I don't get it in its original language. There is a sense of something missing when reading translations whether you want to admit it or not.

Anyway, if you love Big Bang, you'll love this album. If you love GD, even more so :D If you've never heard of either before, please click on the song titles first to sample the album cause everyone's taste in music is different after all. Although I personally think that YG Entertainment has the best music in Korea and would have a far higher chance of breaking into the US compared to others. I think the rest are just way too gay or bimboish to be taken seriously :p Back to topic, I LOVE MY GD ALBUM ♥

Ha, so much for not writing a review.

Shoes ♥

Thursday, June 11, 2009
So I'm officially addicted to online shopping~♪

Anyways, my new heels and wedges arrived 2 weeks ago and as promised (to Ammy), here are pictures of my lovely new shoes. Picture quality is kinda sucky cuz I used 2nd sis camera phone as all my cameras batteries were dead after I got home from lunch at Hilton :C

4 inches of shiny golden prettiness ♥

Side view

Yes yes so I'm like 6ft1 with it on and everyone kept staring before looking down at my feet wteff why yes I am still taller than you people without heels thankyouverymuch.

I seriously adore heels. It makes you feel upbeat, sexy and confident in a second :3

Not to mention that its great for your posture ^.^

But it does horrible stuff for your love life cuz the world isn't exactly swimming with Yunhos or WuChuns (actually I like Aaron Yan better :D) wteff but I am too superficial to care atm.

My wedges. I don't really like these though cuz I think I look anorexic in them :C

Like those anime girls with thin legs but huge chunky shoes wteff super weird irl I tell you. But money spent is money spent so I have to wear it somehow....

In case you want to know, I bought these shoes at amiclubwear.

I don't know about diamonds but shoes?

Are definitely a girl's best friend baby ♥

✿ My college is currently having an anti-abortion campaign and while I am all for pro-life, I seriously do not need to see a picture of a decapitated fetus blown up to 5O FEET TALL WTH. *scarred for life*

✿ Anyway, my NYX haul and fauxnad plates just came in the other day and after testing everything, I'd say its money well spent :D I regret not buying the whole range of lipsticks and eyeshadow ok because its awesome to the max.

Ammy is so gonna kill me after seeing this cuz guess who gave her a lecture on the evils of online shopping 2 weeks ago *shifty eyes*

✿ DIY Hello Kitty fauxnad nails ♥

Its my first time konading so yes, its a lil messy. Guess I have to re-do them over the weekend :|

I spend way too much time doing frivolous stuff instead of studying wteff. But pretty things makes me happy :D And a happy me is a productive me I lie. I cannot stop looking at my nails every few seconds while studying plus I'm like top in all my classes still so no worries yet ^^

✿ Saw this on top of the fridge and thought it was cute:

My youngest sis is so passive-aggressive notes worthy lol XD

✿ Some beautifully arranged fruit platter a neighbor gave us in exchange for the laksa we gave them lol. I think I love my new neighbors more ♥ But I miss Caleb like crazy :C

✿ Nah Ammy, pic of my boots which you wanted to see since like forever:

Why do I look so stumpy here? *glares at 2nd sis* I am somewhat sulking in the pic cuz you do not know the amount of begging I had to go through to get lousy 2nd sis to snap a pic of my boots.

✿ I am freaking out now cuz I'd just looked in the mirror and noticed that my right eyelid is getting droopier omg is this because of my constant eye-glue usage T____T Am gonna switch back to tape from now onwards before my lids completely fold over wteff.

✿ YAY I got selected for the short summer stay at UC Berkeley this June so lalala I'll be off to NorCal then. Hopefully this experience would up my chances of getting in...

✿ Just bought a HDMI cable so yay I get to oogle at HotReno and PrettyBoyCloud in super HD this weekend ♥♥♥ Yes, Advent Children Complete is out on torrent already so go download :)

HAHAHA cute Reno comic I found. Square Enix should so make another FF7 movie okay *____*

Oh wait I forgot I have a retreat up at Big Bear this weekend so I guess HotReno would just have to wait...

I know my blog is somewhat dead but life is just crazy right now to the point I'm no longer in fandom anymore and has since given up on every one of them including jdramas cuz there just isn't enough time these days. I'm barely online too and all free time is spent listening to oldies music while relaxing with friends and family omg is this a sign of old age wteff (T.T)
